EVNHCMC organizes training on rooftop Solar Power installation

On the morning of November 28, 2018, Ho Chi Minh City Power Corporation (EVNHCMC) organized a training session on the installation and use of rooftop solar energy systems for over 70 employees. This group comprised of propagandists from various member units, engaged in promoting grid-connected solar energy to customers and the community.

The training session was coordinated with DAT Group, a joint-stock company specializing in solar panel production and a collaborator with the Power Corporation. The training provided information related to technical platforms, financial solutions, installation procedures, and warranties for solar energy systems.

Promoting and encouraging customers and residents to invest in and install rooftop solar energy systems connected to the city’s power grid is an initiative actively pushed by the Power Corporation. Equipping staff with knowledge through training sessions will enhance the effectiveness of promotion in the coming time.

As of now, there are over 800 customers in Ho Chi Minh City who have invested in grid-connected solar energy systems, with a total capacity exceeding 8,400 kWp. Investing in rooftop solar energy systems brings practical benefits to investors, especially since the Power Corporation ensures the provision of a bidirectional electricity meter free of charge to measure the amount of electricity fed into the grid. This serves as the basis for billing customers according to Prime Ministerial Decision 11/2017/QD-TTg.
