DINH CAU PROJECT

INVESTMENT OPPORTUNITY

The continuous development of 4.0 technology and the need for modernized lighting solutions for smart cities make solar-powered lights the future trend for eco-friendly alternatives to traditional street lights.

Solar lights are a smart, energy-efficient, and environmentally friendly lighting solution. They offer numerous advantages, including low installation costs, 100% solar-powered operation, a lifespan of up to 15 years, and suitability for rural road lighting and urban traffic.

With the desire to “Illuminate every road with solar lights” and help people experience and understand the benefits of smart lighting solutions using renewable energy, DAT Solar sponsored 27 sets of Sokoyo solar lights installed at Dinh Cau Beach and Bach Dang Park, Phu Quoc. The project was executed by Solar Phu Gia Company, a partner of DAT Solar.

CHALLENGES

To ensure the project’s swift implementation and adherence to the schedule, DAT Solar and Solar Phu Gia immediately contacted the local government, completed relevant procedures, surveyed the installation area, established lighting standards, selected suitable Sokoyo light products, created feasible design drawings, conducted material cost estimates, and more.

The project had to prioritize absolute safety for residents and vehicles during the construction period at Dinh Cau and Bach Dang Park. Simultaneously, it had to meet technical standards and requirements, optimize investment costs, ensure fire and explosion prevention, environmental hygiene, and perform well under harsh weather conditions.

Solar lights used in the project had to guarantee quality, be produced by top reputable companies globally, have accurate technical specifications, and comply with certifications such as CE, RoHS, IEC, ISO, CB, with complete test reports for lights and LED chips for large-scale public lighting projects.

EFFICIENT SOLUTION

After evaluating the survey and actual needs, DAT Solar and Solar Phu Gia decided to sponsor 27 sets of Sokoyo solar lights, “Standard of quality”, from the LUMO series with a power of 60W. These split-type lights have numerous advantages in terms of design and technical specifications.

  • Uses Lumileds (Philips) LED chips, with LED chip efficiency up to 170lm/W. Lifespan exceeds 50.000 hours (equivalent to 12 years).
  • Lithium LiFePO4 storage battery capacity is 864Wh, over 14 times higher than the light’s power, extending the illumination time. Lifespan up to 8 years.
  • Mono solar panel 18V/130W, panel power is more than 2 times the light’s power. Durability over 25 years.
  • Smart controller adjusts brightness and reduces energy consumption. Helps lights automatically turn on at night and off in the morning.
  • Lights can illuminate continuously for 12 hours each night. Illumination time when completely without sunlight (fully charged storage battery) is 3 nights.
  • IP68 and IK08 protection levels, work well in high-temperature environments, prolonged rain, dusty conditions, and have excellent impact resistance.
  • Lights are officially warranted for 3 years by DAT Solar.

PROJECT COMPLETION

Solar lighting sponsorship project at Dinh Cau and Bach Dang Park was officially handed over on March 11, 2022, with the participation of representatives from the People’s Committee of Phu Quoc City, DAT Solar, and Solar Phu Gia. Everyone was impressed and highly appreciated the project as a green initiative, applying clean energy to illuminate public spaces.

With the Sokoyo solar light sponsorship project at Dinh Cau and Bach Dang Park in Phu Quoc, DAT Solar and Solar Phu Gia aim to spread the practical benefits of smart lighting solutions to the community, contributing to the creation of a sustainable green future and aligning with the government’s commitment to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.
