A household in Di An City, Binh Duong, decided to invest in solar power with storage to meet various needs:

• Maintain a stable power supply to ensure continuous 24/7 operation of the water filtration system, including the KOI pond aerator, which filters out dirt, bacteria, and algae, provides clean oxygen, and ensures the water environment meets the required temperature and pH standards for healthy fish growth.
• Achieve energy self-sufficiency, maximize the use of solar energy, and significantly reduce monthly electricity bills.
• Additionally, occasional power outages in the residential area directly affect the KOI pond and other sensitive electrical devices. Therefore, the family opted for a hybrid system to manage electricity more efficiently, storing excess solar energy during the day for use in the evening or when the grid is down.

After site surveys and practical needs assessments, Quang Thanh and the homeowner decided to use a set of three high-quality devices from leading solar energy brands: Canadian Solar, Sungrow, and Pylontech.

• Canadian Solar’s 450W monocrystalline solar panel, using Ku Modules cooling technology, Low Internal Current (LIC) Modules, Half-cut cells, PERC, Multi Busbars, enhances radiation absorption, optimizing efficiency and output for the entire system. The product comes with a 12-year warranty.

• Pylontech US5000 Lithium battery with a capacity of 4.8 kWh, designed in a compact form, standard 19-inch rack module, making it easy for customers to install and expand capacity. It has a discharge depth of up to 95% and a lifespan of 6,000 cycles. The battery is backed by a warranty of up to 10 years.
• Sungrow SH5K-30 5kW hybrid inverter with a large DC input power, 2 MPPT configurations, and an efficiency of over 94% for charging/discharging, meeting consumption needs and effectively transferring stored energy. It can be remotely monitored and customized. The product comes with a 5-year warranty.

In June 2022, the solar power combined with storage project was officially completed and put into operation, meeting the requirements for the operational efficiency and stability of the power supply for the KOI pond water filtration system.
