PYLONTECH expands manufacturing capacity to 10GWh/year

With an expected investment of up to 704 million Euros to establish a manufacturing plant and R&D module center for ESS in Feixi district, Hefei city, China, Pylontech aims to increase its production capacity to 10GWh/year.

The framework agreement between Pylontech and the local government of Feixi was signed on May 10, 2022. Based on this, Pylontech is aiming to achieve an annual energy storage capacity of up to 12GWh by 2024 after producing an additional 5GWh in Hefei.

According to BloombergNEF, the global energy storage market is estimated to reach 58GW/178GWh by 2030, five times the installed capacity record in 2021 (10GW/22GWh). This presents many opportunities for the development of energy storage in the coming decade, promoting the transition to more sustainable renewable energy.
