Since 2021, household had invested in a grid-tied rooftop solar system to use and sell electricity to the Vietnam Electricity (EVN). However, due to changes in electricity purchase policies, family decided to switch to a Hybrid solar storage model to maximize energy from solar panels and efficiently use the budget they had invested.

With a configuration of 48 Canadian Solar 450W solar panels with a total capacity of 21.6kWp installed earlier, the family discussed with DAT Solar’s partner, POSO, to upgrade and choose a suitable hybrid inverter and energy storage battery to optimize connection and compatibility with the solar panels.

After selecting a suitable 16kW hybrid inverter for the system, the most concerning issue for the family was finding a reputable energy storage battery brand on the market. They needed a battery that not only met the demand for stable electricity usage but also had good quality, high safety, and long-term support policies from the manufacturer.

Based on recommendation of partner POSO, family decided to use Pylontech Force L1 energy storage battery with a capacity of 14.21kWh due to its outstanding advantages:

After using the system and witnessing its effectiveness, the family decided to expand the system’s capacity by adding 3 Pylontech battery modules in December 2022, increasing the total storage capacity of the system to 24.86kWh.

With the successful deployment of Hybrid system by DAT Solar’s partner,  family can actively manage electricity efficiently for their own needs, reducing dependence on the power grid. Additionally, they can rest assured that essential electrical devices such as cameras, refrigerators, freezers, Wi-Fi, etc., operate smoothly in the face of power supply issues.

Simultaneously, thanks to the flexible charging/discharging mechanism and large storage capacity of Pylontech batteries, the Hybrid system enables the family to maximize the use of solar energy. It stores excess solar power generated during the day for use in the evening or during power outages. As a result, the family can cut over 80 USD from their monthly utility bills, enhancing long-term electricity savings.
