Some warranty notes for the CX series product line

Recognizing the need to improve certain operational and maintenance issues related to the CX series inverter, Sungrow has timely adjusted and updated warranty regulations, ensuring customers can use the product with peace of mind, promptly address any issues that arise, and ensure stable, safe, and effective product operation.

As an Authorized Partner and Warranty Center for Sungrow in Vietnam, DAT Solar would like to inform customers and partners of important points regarding the warranty policy for the CX Series, especially the SG110CX inverter with a capacity of 110kW designed for commercial and industrial projects.

1. Regulations on inspection time and handling of alerts/errors

During usage, if an inverter displays an alert/error, the operational or technical team at the partner’s facility needs to quickly inspect and address it within the specified time. The maximum processing time depends on the severity of the alert/error, as indicated in the table below:

2. Regulations on warranty request time

– When the inverter encounters an alert/error that cannot be resolved, the warranty request steps must be followed as per the regulations, providing complete information.

– Customers should make warranty requests within 3 – 5 days.

3. Regulations on installation and operation

– Installation and parameter settings for the inverter must follow Sungrow’s user manual, as required by EVN/Ministry of Industry and Trade, and should be performed by Sungrow technicians or technicians from an Authorized Service Center (such as DAT Service Center) designated by Sungrow.

– Customers are not allowed to independently perform Factory Reset (Master Reset) of the inverter or delete Site Plant or inverter data on Isolar Cloud.

4. Regulations on periodic inspection and maintenance

– Inverter systems need to be regularly inspected and maintained according to Sungrow’s guidelines.

– Sungrow has the right to request a review of maintenance records for inverters at the partner’s facility for warranty purposes.

– In cases where the customer does not provide maintenance records for the last 12 months, Sungrow reserves the right to review and potentially reject the warranty.

5. Regulations on storage and transportation of faulty inverters

– Inverters requiring warranty must be promptly sent to the Sungrow warranty center within 20 days from the occurrence of the issue.
