Announcement about Sokoyo adjusting the price of solar lights
The situation with material costs has been skyrocketing since the third quarter of 2021, and the energy crisis in China is directly impacting the costs of solar energy products.
Specifically, the costs of all key materials constituting solar lights and panels, such as aluminum, have increased by 20%; die-cast aluminum by 31%; solar cell by 25%; silicon wafers by 30%; and glass by 10%. It is forecasted that these costs will continue to rise significantly due to the prolonged energy crisis in China. Many aluminum and steel refining plants, as well as solar panel manufacturing plants, are operating at only 40% of their capacity. This contributes to a widespread shortage of raw materials, causing disruptions in the supply and production of solar lights.
Therefore, Sokoyo has officially announced a price adjustment for solar lights. The new prices will take effect from November 2, 2021, to align with the market fluctuations, but still ensure the quality standards of the output products as committed to customers and distributors.
DAT sincerely hopes that customers and partners will consider sales opportunities and projects to proactively place orders before prices rise.
