Successful certification of the Integrated Safety and Environmental Management System OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015 by Canadian Solar Vietnam

The increasing number and severity of workplace accidents, as well as severe pollution of air and water from industrial areas, have led to a growing focus on ensuring the health of workers and protecting the environment. In line with these concerns, Canadian Solar Vietnam has collaborated with P&Q Solutions to successfully implement and build an Integrated Safety and Environmental Management System according to OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015 standards.

After a period of construction and application of the Integrated Safety and Environmental Management System according to OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015, from June 23 to June 26, 2016, Canadian Solar Vietnam Manufacturing Co., Ltd. was successfully certified by TÜV Rheinland, Germany, for its Integrated Occupational Health and Safety and Environmental Management System under OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015.

Canadian Solar operates in the field of solar energy panel manufacturing—a clean energy source with low carbon emissions, minimizing environmental pollution. Currently, the group has subsidiary companies in many countries and provides a wide range of products globally.

With the enthusiastic support of P&Q Solutions consulting experts and the diligence, understanding, and collaboration of Canadian Solar Vietnam’s staff, the successful construction of the Integrated Safety and Environmental Management System according to OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015 has been achieved. The successful construction and implementation of this integrated system will bring many benefits to the business, including risk elimination/reduction for employees and stakeholders regarding safety and occupational health; improved performance results; elimination of environmental pollution sources; cost savings; and strict compliance with legal requirements for environmental protection.

Achieving certification from TÜV Rheinland Certification Organization for the construction of an Integrated Management System according to OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2015 is a stepping stone and motivation for the development of Canadian Solar Vietnam. With this successful certification, maintaining the Integrated Management Systems, the company will increase productivity, provide consumers with more opportunities to use green devices, and contribute to environmental protection.
