DAT Solar ESCO highly praised at the solar rooftop seminar for businesses

To address this, the Business Forum Magazine, in collaboration with the Vietnam Clean Energy Association (VCEA) and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), organized the seminar “Solar rooftop for businesses: Needs, benefits, and development solutions” at the VCCI headquarters, 171 Vo Thi Sau Street, District 3, Ho Chi Minh City. The aim was to gather recommendations from businesses and energy experts to address challenges and find solutions to promote the development of rooftop solar models for businesses.

Understanding the concerns of businesses, Mr. Viet Phuong Bui, Head of the Product marketing Department at DAT Solar, presented the topic “Installing solar power with no capital, Saving up to 30% of electricity costs with DAT Solar ESCO”. This presentation aimed to provide manufacturing businesses with an investment model that efficiently uses solar energy, contributing to the establishment of a sustainable green brand for global supply chains.

The DAT Solar ESCO solution attracted considerable attention from manufacturing businesses and the participating council members, who proposed various solutions and development models for rooftop solar systems suitable for real-world situations, especially in the absence of new government policies.

Mr. Viet Phuong Bui further shared, “The ESCO solution is an investment model suitable for businesses owning warehouse rooftops and unused workshops with an area of ​​5.000m2 or more, consuming more than 120.000 USD/month in electricity and wishing to install solar power for production and business purposes.

Not only in Vietnam, but the ESCO investment model has also been successfully applied in many countries worldwide, maximizing energy savings and cost efficiency. With unused rooftop space, businesses can install solar power without initial investment. The financial partner will cover all installation costs, and DAT Solar will serve as the EPC contractor for the project, including surveying, designing, supplying equipment, operating, and maintaining the solar power system. Businesses can use and enjoy many practical benefits worry-free”.

Participating in the ESCO model, businesses will have the solar power system installed completely free of charge. Each month, businesses only need to pay the electricity bill to the financial partner at rates up to 30% lower than EVN. Upon contract completion, businesses have the right to inherit the system, continuing to use solar power for free and saving billions in electricity costs each year.

Additionally, when installing rooftop solar power, the system will cool the warehouse rooftop, reducing the temperature by about 5°C. Simultaneously, businesses can build a green brand image and achieve renewable energy certificates (I-REC).
